Suraya, meaning 'House of Sun' in Balinese, is an Asian inspired home with tropical gardens leading directly on to the sandy beach of Captiva Island. It is on the well known South Seas Island resort and enjoys spectacular sunset views over the Gulf of Mexico to the front and the golf course to the side. Outside Areas

Suraya is surrounded by tropical gardens with Japanese style ponds at the entrance and a swimming pool, with shallow lounging area, and hot tub between the home and the beach. Enjoy the views over the Gulf of Mexico from the large shady verandah with its massive old teak table which seats eight people for dining al fresco. Or sip a relaxing cocktail as you lounge under the fans in the casual seating area. And when the sun gets too much escape to one of the two shady seating areas by the pool with their Asian daybeds, colourful cushions, antique Balinese furniture and 100-year-old painted wooden panels from the walls of ancient Javanese homes.

Entrance

This stunning atrium style entrance with its seated Buddha is tiled in imported stone and the impressive wooden staircase constructed from sustainable hard wood, leads up past a stunning media room which has a huge flatscreen TV with full internet connection.

Living Area

The open plan living area is situated next to the kitchen to allow for ultimate entertaining and socialising. Enjoy a glass of wine as you take in the views of the Gulf of Mexico, or lounge on one of the comfortable sofas and listen to your favourite music over the Sonos speaker system. The living room with its spectacular vaulted ceiling opens up on to a large verandah with an eating area, comfortable seating and a refreshing sea breeze.

Kitchen

A contemporary island kitchen, which is any cook's dream, is at the heart of the home. With stone countertops and top of the range stainless steel appliances this modern well equipped kitchen comes complete with a coffee machine, food mixer and a comprehensive range of cooking utensils and crockery. The large island unit can accommodate five for eating or enjoying tapas. Close to the kitchen area is a fully equipped laundry room with washer and dryer.

Dining Area

The large and open dining area is perfectly situated next to an atrium which features Asian art and greenery. With a table large enough to seat 10, enjoy dinner and conversation while enjoying the beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico or the atrium. Close by is a powder room for the convenience of guests.

Master Suite

Asian inspiration at its best. Wake up to spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico in this large master suite fused with modern art, furniture and fixtures. From the island vanity unit with double basins surrounded by gorgeous closets to the huge bathroom in natural stone, the attention to detail is amazing. Take a long luxurious soak in the Japanese plunge pool. Or invite a friend to join you in the shower room with its Philippe Starck dual shower heads.

Second Master Suite

The smaller of the two master suites features custom armoire closets, a large flat panel TV and ensuite bathroom. The spacious master bath features imported natural stone flooring, a large walk in shower with rainwater head and body sprays and an elliptical bath straight from the pages of an interior design magazine. Sliding doors open on to the verandah with panoramic views over the Gulf of Mexico.

Third Suite

This suite provides the ultimate zen experience with custom king size bed, artwork and flatscreen TV. Featuring an ensuite bathroom with a large walk in shower and rainwater shower head, a Japanese window and oversized vanity. Sliding doors open on to a private balcony with views over the tropical gardens with its ponds and is perfect for watching a Florida sunrise.

Fourth Suite

The twin beds shown in the fourth suite have been replaced with a kingsize bed. It has an ensuite bathroom and a walk in shower with natural stone on the floor and walls. This has a rainwater shower head and large vanity unit with a bowl sink. Sliding doors lead onto a private balcony surrounded by tropical landscaping and ideal for enjoying the sunrise. The room comes complete with a flat screen TV.
